Our homes are mirrors of our self-images, our outlooks, and our lives. Our living spaces tell a story of exactly what is going inside our minds as well as the outcomes we’re experiencing in our lives. How can this be? Well, what we place around us in our homes along with the structure that our home naturally has creates cues –visual and otherwise-- that we subconsciously use to create or maintain a certain reality, whether we’re aware of it or not.
Our home is a metaphor for our life, all aspects of our life… including our sex life.
So how does this work exactly?
Well, let’s say you live in a dark, cluttered, cramped living space with insufficient ventilation, tattered furnishings, burnt out light bulbs, dirty dishes and dirty clothes strewn about, dying plants and cobwebs in the corners, dust on the furniture and any number of other unappealing décor. However, if your home is well-lit, ventilated, filled with healthy, vibrant plants, clean and tidy, smells good, is filled with sacred objects and vibrant décor, has furnishings you love, has well-maintained appliances and provides enough space to live and thrive, I imagine an opposite experience will happen to you. Your life will be filled with zest, happiness, lightness of being, confidence, sacredness, health and sexual confidence.
When our life force energy (our chi) is able to move, flow, and dance unimpeded, we can be in a state of perpetual arousal. We experience a lust for life and a tremendous attraction to beauty, excitement and desire. We are more in touch with our desires, more aroused by our senses, more responsive to our sensuality.
Add more excitement and arousal to your life with these feng shui tips:
1) More light creates more lightness of being which in turn produces happiness and confidence that carries over into amorous encounters
2) Ventilation in your home creates a feeling of freshness as well as fresh smells that inspire sexual excitement. Place a bowl of water in rooms where you entertain and drop 5 to 15 drops of an essential oil like jasmine or ylang ylang to enhance sensual excitement

How to Use Feng Shui to Energize Your Bedroom
Yes, you can use Feng Shui, the ancient Chinese art of controlling geo-energy flow, to insure better sex, harmonious relationships and to generate prosperity.
Ask almost anyone, and they’ll probably tell you – if they could improve any three areas of their life, they would choose their sex life, their relationships, and their financial situation. We all could use a boost of sensuality, intimacy, and abundance in our lives. Why deny it? Why not say yes and enjoy?! And of course we also know there is more to life than materialism and pleasures of the flesh. Nevertheless, in order to reach the upper chakras on our path of spiritual evolution, we must learn to embrace the desires of the world. For to deny them causes them to consume much of our waking thoughts, resulting in obsessions and pathologies. So, where to begin?
Feng Shui is an ancient art of aligning energies in physical environments to create a sense of harmony and flow. Often times feng shui is felt before it can actually be described. Feng shui means “wind and water” in the Chinese language and describes the sense of alignment between heaven and earth --- “as above, so below; as within, so with-out.”
Using feng shui principles can help us energize the major areas of our lives creating harmony, prosperity, health and happiness. In this article, I will share with you five important Feng Shui tips to enhance romance, relationships and prosperity in your life by focusing on your bedroom as the temple from which you receive all of life’s many blessings.
Life, and its magnificent abundance, desires to shower you with blessings. I invite you to open yourself and say YES by incorporating some or all of the following:
1) CLEAR THE CLUTTER – who wants to have sex rolling around in their dirty laundry? As common sense as it is, you’ll begin feeling lighter and sexier as soon as you pick up those dirty clothes off the floor, put your clean clothes away, throw away empty containers, put books back on shelves, clean out your drawers, recycle the recyclables, take the dishes back to the kitchen, reduce the number of chotskies on your dresser… whatever is needed to streamline the amount of stuff taking up space in your bedroom.
2) CHANGE THE SHEETS – Yes, putting clean sheets on your bed is a start. But the next level is picking out brand-new sheets for your bed that are as romantically tantalizing as they are sensually decadent. Feng Shui colors for enhancing romance and sensuality include reds, pinks and white. Remember to choose fabrics that excite you – that may be silk just as easily as it could be Egypitian cotton, hemp, or even sheets made from bamboo fibers. You want to feel nurtured, queenly (or kingly), spicy, passionate, and aroused. When you feel a certain feeling, you think a certain thought and thus experience a certain experience. So in terms of sensuality and romance, when you feel sexy and confident, you think sexy and confident thoughts and are more likely to generate confidently sexy experiences for yourself and your paramour. Who knew that just changing the sheets could create a Kama Sutra encounter?
3) MAKE A LOVE ALTAR – Never underestimate the power of an altar. The beauty of altars is that they provide a physical, visual cue that reminds you of what you desire. I suggest putting a love altar near your bed, and adorn it with accoutrements that remind you of love, passion, and even lust! Put heart-shaped items there; red, golds & pinks; a vase of your favorite flowers; perfumes; a representation of the goddess Venus or another favorite Goddess; a bowl of succulent fruits; a small copy of the Kama Sutra; some condoms; chocolates; tea light candles…whatever represents love, romance and passion to you. Adorn your altar, set your intention, and watch your love –including self-love—come alive! 
4) CANDLES = ROMANCE – Let your love light shine! Place beautiful candles around your bedroom. There is nothing more seductive than a dark room lit only by candle-light. Even better is when the candles have a smell or a special sacred symbol on them. Ignite your intention for love by placing candles that you hand-select to represent heightened intimacy and sexuality in your life around your love chamber. 5) “SCENT”UALITY – place an aromatherapy diffuser in your bedroom, place a few drops of a favorite oil inside, infuse your intimate intentions into the oil, and let the diffuser create a “scent”ual environment. The sense of smell is a key player in attraction and arousal. And utilizing aromatherapy is a great way to heighten arousal and enhance seduction. Arousing oils include neroli, ylang ylang, and rose absolute. Oils for attracting include sandalwood, patchouli, and jasmine. And a prime candidate for the "ultimate love oil" is vanilla essential oil -- especially in combination with a delicate cocoa butter. Remember – with scents of any kind, a little bit goes a long way.
Now you may be thinking “Claire, you gave me lots of great ideas about sensuality and romance but you didn’t mention anything about prosperity.” Very observant. The point I want with that is that the more relaxed we are in life, the more we are able to give and receive generously ~ especially in an amorous setting ~ the more prosperity will naturally flow to us. Abundance in all its forms goes where there is a YES to meet it. How vibrant and vivacious is your YES? How frequent is your YES? And how expansive is your financial situation at this time? You might just see a parallel…
So my invitation to you is this: pick some or all of these tips to put into action tonight! Consider what your desires are. Set very clear intentions: for example, I choose to feel sexy, creative, and seductive in my body and home. And then create a sensual environment – clean, aromatic, soft-- that anyone would feel sexy, passionate, and alive in…
Remember, the most basic Feng Shui principle says, “where thoughts go, energy flows.” What are your most sensual, romantic and passionate thoughts? Start there… and make love!
